April 11, 2007Things that I dislike
1. Young girls asking me how they can start modeling.
It's not that there's anything wrong with that question but getting asked 10 times a day it starts to get annoying. I'm glad to have helped the ones that I have, don't get me wrong. I stumbled upon it myself. I have friends that are photographers. I'm lucky, in that sense. I DO NOT know personally how anyone else should start modeling. All I can tell them is my experience and that they probably will spend more money than they make trying to get into the business. I don't think young girls should be models! I think it makes them to self concious and people can develope eating disorders or get in with the wrong people, creepy photographers, bad photographers... I just don't think it will live up to most of these girls expectations and I don't want to contribute to that. 2. People that think they are famous for no aparent reason. It's dumb. Even if you REALLY believe that you're famous or maybe you have to some extent reached a level of "fame", try to be humble. It's respectable. 3. People that think I'm special because I have pretty pictures. I love that you like the art! That's why I'm here: to be an artist. I'm not motivated by "OMG YOU'RE SO PRETTY". If you saw me in real life where there is no photoshop you probably wouldn't be that impressed. People aren't better than you because they look good on the internet. 4. When my real life friends get bitter about the fact that I have pretty pictures. That's dumb and it really hurts my feelings. I'm not trying to be anything special. You know what I'm like in real life and I'd like to be respected for that no questions asked. If you don't like what 'I'm a part of' that's okay. Just be my friend. 5. Read messages that aren't responded to. Only if we're friends and I actually care. 6. Band practice Because Cameron isn't home yet and I'm lonely. I'm just going to go to bed before I blog any more ears off. To be continued...

April lameness
I've been working on a 16mm student film. Got up at 6:30 this morning to go shoot at Best Buy but I had to stop at evil soul eating Wal Mart for some prop stuffs and the guy that greeted my friend and I at the door was pretty intense. The first thing he said to me was "You've got a birthday coming up!"... so it's true. My birthday is on Saturday... I thought this was really weird and I asked him how he knew but he just said that I had 'that birthday glow' about me. Psychic WalMart guy? I don't know.
Anyway this month is jam packed full of school work. I am not looking forward to the work load and all nighters but I will be SO relieved after everything is done and I can get on with my life. I wish it was warmer and i could get out to enjoy the spring! Hopefully I will be shooting a lot in May. I've discussed working with Kollin Bliss again, Azcra and Michael Woodward and have been planning some collaborations with models and hairstylists. So keep an eye out, I will of course be posting!
