strawberry shortstack

My computer needs a new battery! It's such a pain in the butt, I think I may be able to get it replaced for free but I still have to be without it for another week or so. It's really annoying and I have a lot of stuff to get done.
When I get it back I need one of these to match:

My ex boyfriend is kind of stalking me on myspace and I'm not really sure why. I guess he's just crazy and wants some attention.
I've had an awesome time this summer being really really dirty, wearing the same thing everyday, not doing my hair or wearing make up, hanging out for hours at the dog park and going to the river.
That's just how people are here so when I'm all glammed up people think it's really weird. I think there's something to be said for people who can go out looking like crap and just not care, those are the people I'm friends with.

I miss my friends in philly a lot. Right now I'm baking cookies and thinking about my random current obsession with strawberry things. They are just so cute. I've started my merry strawberry collection from ww.re-ment.us they make me squeal! Everything is sooooo tiny and cute. I'm totally obsessed.

I love tiny things. I think all girls do... that may or may not be why I have rats. They are so cute and their tiny little hands and wiskers are adorable. I just want to spend all of my money on tiny things and toys. It's not very practical at all.
I want to live in a little strawberry house on a little strawberry patch with tiny strawberry furniture and strawberry silverwear and live off of tiny strawberry sweets.

I'm sorry I suck at posting photos.

My laptop is non functional and anyway I've been out of town for the past 5 days.

I have a lot of stuff to put up so if you bear with me I promise it will be awesome. Been hanging out with Baxter, working with him and shooting some really awesome clothing for Jessica Louise- it's really cute stuff that is affordable and adorable so everybody should get ready to rock in the fall.

Anyway, I've been taking it easy because it's been so darn hot but last night we got crazy in NYC shooting and hanging out at the beauty bar with miss Audrey.

Pictures and things soon.

Time to get packing.

I'm about to head up to Philly and NYC. I'm excited to see the pals I'll be hanging with but I've been such a homebody recently. I'm usually sooo excited to travel and get the heck out of this city but for some reason I'm not in that mode of thinking yet. I'm glad to be going back to NY though I had way more fun in the city last time I went even though we stayed in that god awful hotel.
I want to go shopping in st marks and buy Baxter a trucker hat that I will later bedazzle. Even though I don't need to go that far to get a trucker hat it just seems like more fun. My head is too small for hats.

Summer in Dixie

Friday we watched fireworks and ate a lot of food with Cameron's Mom, sister & her husband, brother, his wife & her parents, and seven (count 'em) nieces and nephews! My highlight of the night was watching Cameron run around in the yard holding sparklers and screaming like a maniac with the kids. Children are cute and exhausting and when we drove home at 10pm I could barely keep my eyes open.

We went over to Kath (machinedance) and Josh's last night with Jessie(bellagore) and had a mini cookout and drank Absinthe that they brought back from Europe. Cameron and Josh love eachother.

I've been super tired, not sleeping well and I definitely woke Cam up at like 5:30 am shaking him because I thought someone was breaking into the kitchen... it was the dog getting into something. Later, once I finally got to sleep, the cat woke me up digging through her food bag and I almost skinned her alive. I guess we all had a restless night.

Now I have a lot of stuff to get going on but I'm so tired and unmotivated... ugh lame.

Piercings!

Cameron is going to be  in Norfolk, VA at Fuzion on June 6th and 7th.
If you're 18, live in or around the VA Beach area and want to get pierced you should set up an appointment with him. Contact him by email or Myspace where you can check out some of his work.

Remember when you get pierced to find someone who is clean and responsible, do your research and keep yourself safe!

whiney pants

Waiting for photos is such a bummer.

I feel like I have shot soooooo much in the past couple of months but I haven't seen so much of it. Them photogs are slacking (and really busy too I'm sure).

Miss machinedance is out of town and I've been watching her animals. We've been going on mini hikes with the two dogs and Kody (her dog) has been teaching Hannah Beth (our dog) to swim which is really hilarious because she just doesn't get it. She tries to jump through the water and ends up just flailing like a freak and then she bites at the surface to take revenge.
All in all it's really hilarious and the weather is great right now.

A bear randomly ran right through the middle of the city the other day, it was on the news. Bears are about the most exciting thing that the Richmond news can find to do stories on because they apparently scare the crap out of people. I think pretty funny but also really sad that we are destroying their habitat to the extent that they end up in the streets of Richmond.

Not to mention China's disastrous situation. The world is really screwed up but we are just to lazy and ignorant to make some tough decisions and fix the problems.

Hey ladies and boys...

My internet is really sucky right now and I'm not doing a very good job of keeping you guys updated and commenting on your stuff.

I apologize for that. I'm sure everybody's buzzing about all kinds of drama going on here but I'm a little behind because of the lack of internet connection. Of course none of it really matters.

I've been trying to take it easy after finals, working on editing a trailer to show you all the movie I've been slaving over :-/

I'm hoping to be modeling for an agency over the summer to make money, I've got some jobs doing tv commercials (which is really funny if you've been following my entries at all, notice you've never seen a video blog? There's a reason for that...)
I'm just trying to live and pay rent which is really not very glamorous.

I'm hoping in the next weeks I'll have so good updates for you guys and the internet capabillties to actually post.
So tell me what's going on in your lives, the juicy stuff, what have I missed?

Stop picking on Lana Jade

I don't understand why some people are such jerks, especially to such a nice girl.

It's the internet and the people you obsess over aren't as mean/selfish/ugly/horrible as you like to think. Try to be nice, it's much better.

Party like a rockstar: sleep it off like a champ.

I have done way too much awesome stuff in the past couple of weeks. I'd love to go into detail but I'm just too darn busy editing my movie (trailer coming soon) so I'll just summarize.

Two weeks ago I went to the Catwalk Tragedy 4 fashion show in Philly with Mike and Jesshawk. It was pretty tragic. I kept a low profile and had minimal photos taken haha. Shot with Baxter the next day at his studio, Lithium Picnic was shooting a bunch of sets for Deviant Nation there as well so I got to meet & hang out with him. Also met Sharon TK and Fetish kitten who were both a total riot and the MUA Daniel K who is also hilarious (as pictured here). Mike's friend Brook kindly came and did hair, mine was super sweet. Before we hit the road I met Apnea briefly after her shoot with Kencredible.

Then last weekend me and Jesshawk hit the road again to NYC for a shoot with Steve Prue which was awesome. We were in Chinatown though in a tiny TINY hotel room the bed felt like bricks and all the chinese people thought we were prostitutes because we were the only platinum blondes in NYC.

After the shoot Steve invited us to meet up with him at Paul Booth's gallery opening which was sick to the max. I'm such an art nerd, Michael Hussar was there, he had a piece in the show, There were 3 awesome Giger pieces and it was all super rad. I wish I had money so I could buy really expensive art. Anywho Paul Booth is super nice and there were a lot of famous people there that I didn't know.

The next day we went shopping in St Marks and I got an awesome present for Cameron. We regretfully missed joining Cere & friends for a trip to a pentecostal church. Then we had an ungodly bus ride home in front of two shitheads from Jersey that thought they were real cute and wouldn't shut up. Also the bus driver thought it would be a good idea if he would just tap the gas the entire way home. I've never gotten sea sick on a bus before.

So that's about it. I win the prize for most epic name dropping post.

World Rat Day

I was informed by an adorable source that today is World Rat Day! How exciting for me since I am a huge rat lover. To celebrate me and the boys played and snoozed in the bed.

Busy bee

On Friday night I got a call from Hecktor, who I've worked for a few times. He needed a make up person for a shoot the next day that they were doing for an Advertising awards show. We did a bunch of little spots that were poking fun at people in the office coveting their awards, the same sort of thing that you see when they do awards shows and they have funny little skits in between that they play on the big screen. I had about 10 actors that needed full make up and they were all really awesome. One of the assistants on the shoot walked into my make up room and freaked out about the actress because she recognized her from TV. We were both kind of embarassed that she was so excited but it was funny.

One of the gals was a Whilhelmina model and we had fun talking about the business she gave me some suggestions for agents (which I need really bad because I suck at organizing these things). I had to leave the shoot early which was both kind of annoying and a relief because they ended up doing a 20+ hour day. If any of you want to go into acting or filmmaking definitely expect those weird LOOOOONG hours, it takes a certain kind of person to put up with it and it is incredibly exhausting. Luckily all the crews I work with in Richmond are amazing, they're great sports, they work really hard and are good at their jobs.

While I was doing that gig I got a call from Ruben Rios to do make up for a music video on monday. I didn't get any details until monday morning since it was a pretty spur of the moment thing. Sunday I went to my parents' house with Cameron and we had some fun. I miss talking to my mum about stuff, we always have really deep conversations but we hardly ever talk because neither of us like the phone and I don't have a lot of time to go visit.

Monday I woke up at 5:30 am again to go to the music video shoot, drove for an hour to get there and waited an hour for the band to show up. They ended up being really cool kids, they're really young but they had good attitudes and I think they were pretty stoked to be making a video. I had worked with almost all of the crew before and the guys i hadn't worked with were awesome anyway. The DP was a guy named Max who i met a few years ago when we worked on the Scarlet video together, he's an awesome guy, he's got a great eye and he knows how to get down to business which I appreciate. We got to chat during our vegetarian lunch (we had to go else where because everything else was meat) about how the music business and film business are being changed by the internet and how different it's going to be for us in a few years. The director, the production team, everyone there was a joy to work with and I'm glad because it was a very long shoot that wrapped at 2 am.

The extras I did make up for were mostly between the ages of 14-17 and they had no idea what they were getting into although they seemed pretty stoked to be getting their make up done haha. I would have preferred that the extras were actors instead of the band's fans but hey... I'm sure they thought it was cool and they were the easiest people to get to come. Oh they made me stand in as an extra too, I hate being on film so I hope they don't use it to save me the embarassment but even if they do it should just be the back of my head or something.
There's the crew and some extras.

and the band.
(All of these pictures were stolen from some kid's Flickr)

Now I'm exhausted but I'm shooting more footage for my own film tonight, hanging with Stuntkid tomorrow for fun and going out of toen for a fashion show this weekend. I'm a real jetstter... haha.

I hate Urban outfitters

There is so much over priced crap there that I want. Most of their girl clothes look like organic trashbags that have armholes cut into them so that trendy girls can continue to think that being a gross hippy is coming back in style. If it does come back in style I will stand back and laugh at all of you with your feathers in your hair and your big pants.

Anywho Urban Outfitters does have some really cute stuff that I want really bad. It's pretty much all mens clothes.
BUY ME THIS!

BUY ME THIS!

BUY ME THIS!

No I don't really expect anyone to buy me these things... unless my boyfriend or parents are reading... in that case my birthday is coming up soon so I wear a 5.5 in boys shoes.
hahaha.

I'm offended

That Jeffree star (and others) can go around saying really cruel and hurtful things to young fans/non fans with valid opinions and he never gets a TOS violation yet others who have in my experience been nothing but kind are deleted without warning or explanation.I guess because he is 'famous' and an asset to buzznet. I just don't think it's fair. So if a celebrity commits murder should he have any less of a right to a fair trial, should he have special priveleges? Of course not, that's absurd.Laws are laws and rules are rules, making exceptions is cheating.
